OUR HISTORY

Α small dot of land, Kimolos is a hidden secret, written with chalk (“kimolia” in Greek) in the Aegean Sea… An authentic place lost somewhere in the summertime of our childhood… A Cycladic island, like the ones that foreign tourists fell in love with in the 60’s. And that’s how it has remained… Kimolos. Our place. A dirt road from Chora (the “Village” as locals call it), between barren land and pristine beaches leads to our land, Kimolia Gi. Our own paradise.

So there, next to Prassa, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Aegean, in a 6-acre property, we have created a setting ideal for those who seek the meaning of true holidays… Authenticity, contact with nature, genuine flavours, and what many today describe as “slow living”.

In our effort, everything is truly unpretentious… We are a Kimolian family who love our place, but above all, we love hospitality.

Here, in our house, you will meet Odigitria, the landlady, her husband Panagiotis and their son George with his Maria and the youngest member of the family. This will become your home, as here we welcome you as a member of our family, promising you a unique hospitality.

And it is unique indeed, as only a few places are still untouched by mass tourism, because there are few places where you can wake up to the bells of animals grazing carelessly, count the stars in a clear sky, taste genuine flavors just like the ones you remember from your childhood… Everything you have reminisced revives before your eyes, just like a living painting of your memories…

All recipes are prepared from the hands of Odigitria. Kimolian ladenia, traditional pies, creams made with local milk, handmade sweets and all kinds of cookies have her motherly touch… Made with love and raw materials exclusively produced by ourselves or by local small producers, they awaken memories of tradition…

And so, somehow among the smells of herbs, flowering flower beds and the sea breeze, summers are spent leisurely, in the fresh air, with homemade food and casual nights under the stars, with the sounds of great music and refreshing cocktails… And there, in “Kouzinaki”, everyone becomes one big company and unwittingly follows the paths of dreaming… of somehow finding the summers of their childhood!
